30”L x 14”W x 18”H - Ambrosia Maple, Padauk, and Sapele bench/coffee table, perfect for a small living room needing multi-use furniture, an entry way for putting on or taking off shoes, or anywhere else in the home really!

This piece is constructed using hand cut joinery including wedged mortise and tenon legs, and the lower shelf is housed into the legs adding rigidity and function. The finish is six coats of Tung oil, with added protection of a top coat of paste finishing wax. The top is 1-7/8” thick and is detailed at the edges with a 5/8” chamfer. The legs are 1-3/4” x 3-1/8” and are splayed at 10 degrees respective to the length of the table and 5 degrees respective to the width. The lower shelf is 1” thick and is made of Padauk edged along the length with Sapele.

Ambrosia Maple is created from the infestation of the Ambrosia Beatle in certain soft maple species, their bore holes can be seen as small black dots throughout the wood with the resulting staining around, creating a very visually interesting piece of furniture. Padauk and Sapele, both African hardwoods, add to the visual interest with contrast in the lower shelf, and the wedges in the visible tenon ends on the top of the piece.
